The cerebellar network: C7C7 (Cerebellar Cortical Control: Cells, Crcuits, Computation, and Clinic) is a multi-national doctoral training network for the interdisciplinary study of the cerebellum. This network is funded by the European Union Marie Curie program (People).Position
In the context of the Marie Curie program’s emphasis on industrial / academic collaboration, we are offering a postdoctoral position that is shared between industry and academia. Alpha Omega, Ltd., a leading medical device company working primarily with electrophysiology equipment, is collaborating with the laboratory of Dr. Opher Donchin of Ben-Gurion University to foster research into novel tools for neuronal isolation. Dr. Donchin studies the electrophysiology of the cerebellum in awake, behaving animals.
There have been automatic spike sorting algorithms developed in the past decade. While each has had success solving the specific problems of individual researchers, none has achieved widespread acceptance. Our aim is to develop a tool which will have the flexibility to appeal a variety of researchers and be robust enough to be used by the experienced researcher and novice, alike. Requirements
