| The AOStudio is a software package used to review, sort and analyze data saved during a surgery using the MicroGuide system. The reviewing module is a MicroGuide software look alike that allows reviewing marked sites and replaying saved spike train files in video and audio. The sorting module is an offline spike sorter implemented in matlab, called Alpha-Sort. The analysis module is a spike train and other event data analyzer. | |

Writing scientific papers using AOSTUDIO is now easier than ever
|
1. Review surgery data on your laptop computer
2. Sort the spikes, and analyze the recorded activity
3. Copy and paste into your scientific paper
The AOSTUDIO is the most recent software addition to the AlphaOmega product family. It is used to review in video and audio, sort, and analyze data saved during a surgery done using the MicroGuide system. AOSTUDIO was designed in a way that would make the navigation from the electrode signal through the sorting to the analysis painless and slick; use it once and you can’t live without it. AOSTUDIO will become very quickly your right hand in releasing scientific papers.
| | Main Interface |
| The main interface of the AOSTUDIO works as a control tower. It allows you to go to all three different components, and to set all the parameters that would tie the knot between the three components. It gives you total control as to how much automation you want to do.
|
|
| | Reviewing Module |
| The reviewing part of AOSTUDIO allows you to look at a whole surgery at a glance. You simply point to the surgery and click, and you will be able to navigate through the whole surgery without having to know a single file name. You can review marks you added during the
surgery, and replay saved data in video and audio. The interface has the main trajectory window, a mark snapshot window, and signal replay window.

|
| | Sorting Module |
| The sorting module is our alphasort offline sorter, but it was modified to work with the AOStudio in a more automated way. In alphasort, spikes are projected on a two dimensional Principal Component space, and are then represented by their projections on this space.

| | Analysis module |
|
The analysis part of AOSTUDIO software package is called Nex; short for Neuro Explorer. The primary function of Nex is to analyze Spike Trains and other event data. Continuous data can also be used in several analyses. Nex provides a very complete set of spike train analysis options such as histograms, rasters, correlations, and many others.
