Surgical Intervention for Movement Disorders
The MicroGuideTM system was originally designed for movement disorder research centers. From those beginnings, the system has developed into the most comprehensive guidance system for target localization in the treatment of movement disorders, like Parkinson’s disease. This device can help the microsurgical team accurately isolate the specific neurological cells targeted for deep brain stimulator (DBS) implantation. Accurate DBS placement is a critical factor in achieving both short and long term treatment of movement disorders

MicroGuideTM is a modular multi-channel FDA approved system for neurosurgery. The MicroGuideTM presents a comprising breakthrough for Micro electrode recording and stimulation,used for optimal target localization for the treatment of movement disorders in Parkinson disease during DBS Implantation, Pallidotomy, Thalamotomy and other similar neurosurgical procedures. The system provides all electrophysiological instrumentation for single unit recording.

  • Microelectrode Recording
