Alpha Omega is a medical device company and a leading manufacturer of Microelectrode Recording equipment for Neurosurgery and Neuroscience research. AO customers include world-renowned Neurosurgeons and Neuroscientists.
We are searching for a motivated, reliable, and innovative R&D intern hardware engineer to join our R&D department and work on hands-on hardware design projects. This role offers exposure to real medical-device development in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in hardware design projects under the guidance of senior engineers, covering
requirements definition, schematic and PCB design, prototype build, verification, and
transfer to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Product, Production, Quality
Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs.
• Work with consultants and suppliers to obtain the necessary technologies, materials, and
parts to develop the product.
• Prepare the necessary documentation according to AO Quality and regulation procedures
and hold the required design reviews.
• Support investigation and resolution of production and customer-related technical issues.
Experience and skills:
➢ 3rd-year (or higher) student in Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or a
related field.
➢ Experience with ECAD tools (Altium Designer or Cadence – Advantage).
➢ Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
➢ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
➢ High attention to detail and good organizational skills.
➢ Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
➢ Verilog knowledge - Advantage
➢ Knowledge in medical product development – Advantage.
